B. Relational DBT Group

Group work is shame-sensitive and affirming. Led by a relationally oriented psychotherapist & a trained philosopher.

DBT groups at GTC are done relationally using a Linehan-adherent frame. Groups are 90 minutes long and begin with a check in about how group is feeling, move to a brief mindfulness moment, homework, diary card review, break, new skill acquisition, semi-guided module-focused discussion, and closing comments.

Your group is facilitated by a trained philosopher and a relationally oriented group therapist, both with post-graduate training and experience in dialectics, DBT, and group facilitation. Framing a safe space to explore together, you will grow, glow, and go with you group members to new places as you move forward through the dialectical framing of the practice options provided in the DBT wheelhouse.
